A few months ago I came across this idea that includes people that you know won't be able to be present for the birth of a baby. I have some dear friends from Seattle and other places that I miss so much. I wanted to feel connected to them in this time. I bought several candles each a little different like all of them. Will or I will text them to light their candle when labor starts. These candles serve as a symbol of strength and comfort from these long distance friends as I begin the laboring process.
