We have been so busy lately which is why I haven't posted very much recently. One of our friends that we met while we lived in Lusaka came to visit. She got to meet Vivi and have a southern meal. Lil stepped into the kitchen and it was so normal. It felt like she was stopping over to have dinner with us and then we would see her again the following week. It is weird how you can be in a place with no shared memories and feel like you have been there all the time.

|We cooked her fried okra, cornbread, black-eyed peas, mustard greens, and mashed potatoes|

Our housemates planned a friendsgiving dinner on Sunday night. They both had been looking forward to Thanksgiving food and time with friends so they decided to start a new tradition.
|We had lemon butter turkey with a chorizo sausage stuffing, bread stuffing with sausage (that's right two stuffings), cranberry lime relish, creamed baby peas with pearl onions, salad, and mashed potatoes.|
