This past week was filled with lots of good food and snow. Here in
Alabama we get snow once every three years so you can imagine it is a big
deal. It was Viola's first time to see snow and touch it. She was very
curious. She poked at it here and there, but had no real interest in
being friends. She readjusted herself at one point and lost her balance.
She didn't face plant, but I think she got more acquainted than she ever wanted to be.

We tried some new recipes from this blog. |
|
Broiled grapefruit with sugar and spices, yogurt, and granola. |
We headed to Montgomery on Saturday to see a friend who I haven't seen in years. I would have taken a picture, but I was too busy catching up on her life and meeting her 4 months old little girl. Afterwards we decided to go to the Children's Museum. We took a walk around the park while Viola napped.

I think we may have had more fun. |

I love all the different images I got. |

Will put on a puppet show and Viola squealed in excitement. |
We then headed to celebrate Matt's (my brother in law) birthday at Mugshots. Everyone from Will's family came and we enjoyed stuffing ourselves with food and the most delicious cake.
On Sunday we had some friends over for huevos rancheros. They are our new favorites if you couldn't tell. It was so nice to sit and chat. We were so busy in the fall with interviews that we kind of fell off the map with friends. It has been nice to get back into our old routine.

A little hot chocolate to go with Downton Abbey. |
Did I mention those are homemade marshmallows? More on that later. I told you there was a lot of food involved.

We had so many leftover that we had to make smores. |
